Chiefs and people of Gomoa Mampong traditional Area have complaint bitterly and declared “No Road, No Vote” over their deplorable State of it road network since Independence.
In spite of the declaration by the government that 2020 was the year of roads, the people of Gomoa Mampong are still facing problem due to bad road network, this has triggered Nana Obo Mensah IX to react.
Being the chief of Gomoa Mampong in the Gomoa West District of central region, Nana warned the government that they are not going to vote nor allow any party to campaign in that town in the coming 7th December, 2024 elections .
Speaking to original news reporter Katakyie Darko during this year’s edition of Gomoa Mampong Ahorbaakese festival celebration today , the Odikro of Gomoa Mampong Nana Obo Mensah IX averred that , their roads are not motorable and it’s affecting the market women
“our farm produce are not purchase because of the bad road network, even using tricycle on it is a problem we really suffering, we beg the government to help make our roads motorable” he said
The Traditional Rulers also appealed to the Member of parliament for Gomoa West Hon. Richard Gyan to lobby for the government to fix the roads.
In response to the above request, the MP for the area Hon. Richard Gyan has pledged to do his possible best fix the roads in the area as well as Chip compound and other basic social amenities needed in the area..
