On Tuesday, September 28, 2021, the legendary highlife musician passed away.
On the evening of Thursday, October 6, 2022, there will be a vigil night at the Forecourt of the State House to mark the beginning of the three-day funeral services.
On Friday, October 7, 2022, Nana Ampadu’s body will be put to rest in state at the same location, the Forecourt of the State House.

The family has said that the burial will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2022, in Obo Kwahu, which is located in the Eastern Region.
