The Baba Yara Stadium will host Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s encounter against RC Kadiogo in the second round of the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
The move is a result of the CAF Club Licensing Directorate approving Asante Kotoko SC’s use of the Baba Yara Stadium as a home field.
Working together, the Club, the GFA, and the National Sports Authority got the Stadium approved for club use. The 2022 match is set to begin at 3:00pm on Sunday, September 18.

Meanwhile, Patrick Tanguy Jean Phillipe Vlei of Ivory Coast has been selected as the match’s referee.
Koabenan Prosper Adiouman, Kalidou Bamba, and Kouassi Frederic Francois Biro are all fellow countrymen who will be helping him out.
