Having command over someone else’s language in many people’s opinion makes one an intelligent person. Most Ghanaians have the impression that speaking grammar makes one brilliant and will strive with a view to improving upon their English speaking.
However, this Preacher”s assertion debunks the idea of people who presume the learned ones are qualified enough to lead. To him, acquiring knowledge in school is not a guarantee a person will perform creditably if given a certain work to do.
He stated further that graduates who complete the university have a mind of their own and can speak good English after acquiring knowledge in various fields of study. They are awarded diplomas or master’s certificates.
Knowledge acquired from school is good, applying what you have gotten is wisdom.
In conclusion, he posited that this mentality has affected the black man and till today, we can’t do anything for ourselves.
