Asante Kotoko have held a guard of honor for goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim and goalkeeper’s coach Najahu Issah following their key roles played in Black Galaxies victory over Nigeria which sealed qualification for Ghana.
In a video shared on the club’s social media pages, players and technical staff of Asante Kotoko lined up in opposite direction as Najahu Issa and Danlad Ibrahim passed through amidst cheers and excitement.
Goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has been the first choice goalkeeper for Black Galaxies under the tutelage of head coach Annor Walker. He was in goal post when Ghana eliminated Benin and Nigeria. In yesterday’s game against Nigeria, Black Galaxies conceded two goals but remained resolute to qualify via penalty kicks.
Goalkeeper’s trainer Najahu Issa was tasked with training goalkeepers at the national camp and executed his job accordingly.
It was through his recommendation that a goalkeeper was picked as the first choice, helping the team to pull off target.
