The president of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo as part of his two days tour in Central Region paid a courtesy visit to the Chiefs and residents of Komenda and its environment today.
Speaking to the Chief and his people as he (the president) was ‘forced’ to speak twi, he voiced out that: “Nana Komenda wode asem kese ato me so. I know it’s not perfect but that’s how I can say it”
In his speech today with the Chief as the residents cheered him (the President) up, he recounted on how he used to be touring the country every year purposely to see how government projects are progressing in every region.
He congratulated the Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon. Alan Kojo Kyeremanteng, NPP national executives, all the regional executives and other dignitaries for the good work that they are doing for the people of Komenda.
“You all will agree with me that, the minister for Trade and Industry, Hon. Alan kojo Kyeremanteng who is in charge of the Komenda Sugar factory has done a great job”
He disclosed also that, the Komenda sugar factory that others couldn’t do is almost yet to be completed due to his hard work.
The president of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa also assured the chief and the people that, in no time, the sugar factory will be commissioned.
“Within this same year, I will come to Komenda to commission the sugar factory in a grand style” he voiced out.
