A former Presidential Staffer P.V Jantuah Dadson Boateng has berated the 19 Judges fingered in the Auditor General’s report for procuring auction cars without proper approval from the Ministry of Finance.
Some of the Judges cited in the report have said that they were not aware of the existence of a legislative instrument (L.I, 2378) under the Regulation 158 of the Public Financial Management Regulations, 2019, which governs auction sales in the country.
But Mr Boateng says the judges were reckless for taking part in the auction sale without due diligence.
‘‘If a medical officer takes in a medication without even taking cognizance of the fact of observing the expiry date, how would you describe that medical officer, so the judges are reckless?’’
‘‘I may be pardoned if I take medication without looking at the expiry date, but a doctor, nurse, or a pharmacist cannot do that, if you do that, you are reckless’’, he said.
The Judges whose names bought the auditioned cars are; His Lordship Justice F.G Korbieh, His Lordship Justice N.S. Gbadegbe, His Lordship Justice Julius Ansah, His Lordship Justice Asmah, His Lordship Justice Lawrence L. Mensah. His Lordship Justice Thomas Ofedie.
The rest are Her Ladyship Justice Jennifer A. Tagoe, His Lordship Justice E.K. Mensah, His Lordship Justice N.C. Agbevor, Her Ladyship, Elizabeth Ankumah, His Lorship, Yaw Appau, His Lordship Justice Jacob B. Boon and His Lordship Justice Nathaniel Osam.
