Ghanaian rapper Lyrical Joe has made a shocking revelation that the masses may not believe or find it difficult to believe.
Only a few people in Ghana will accept the fact that Lyrical Joe is a school dropout, who dropped out at JHS2 considering his level of understanding about life occurrences and his proficiency in the English language.
A lot of his buffs had even believed that he has been to the University and probably studied English Literature because of his insane knowledge in it and his ability to play with the devices in his rap lines.
Joseph Gamor, as he is known in private life disclosed in a recent interview with a hostess Cookie on Tv3 NewDay entertainment segment that he lost both his parents at a tender age, and that was what contributed adversely to his decision to quit formal education.
He added that despite him becoming an orphan and school dropout at a very young age, his inquisitive mind triggered him to devise an alternative means of educating himself rather than necessarily sitting in the classroom.
“I dropped out at JHS2. The thing is that it’s just one of those tragedies that happen. I lost both my parents at a very young age. I mean, at the same time, I didn’t think that education was only about school. So I felt like, yeah, you still got to learn,” he said.
He resorted to the informal way of educating himself through the internet ( Phantom curriculum) since he could not longer return to the classroom.
“I mean on the streets and every opportunity I get. You know, for example, the internet is there, and everyone has a way they use the internet. Everyone uses it in a different space. I wouldn’t just be on there and just be on social media everyday.
You need to read. You need to learn. When you hear the news, you need to go into it and venture into the other side of the world, not just Ghana. What’s going on at other places and things? That’s how come you keep a broad mind, and that’s what I’ve been doing: educating myself.”
