GPL update: We are making good progress – Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu

Ahead of the start of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League, (GPL), Accra Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu says he side is making good progress.

The gaffer said, his team is taking shape and believes they will be ready for their first game of the season.

“We have made a lot of progress since we regrouped after the end of last season and, I keep seeing a lot of progress on the training field every day,” Coach Boadu told the club’s media.

“By the time we play our first game of the new campaign, I am certain that the boys will be ready for the action,” he added.

Accra Hearts of Oak are on the second phase of their pre-season program in Kumasi, putting finishing touches to their rituals for the season ahead.

The Phobians have already won two friendlies against second tier sides Future FC and Asokwa Deportivo in the Garden City.

Coach Boadu and his charges will look to build on these preparations before they take to the pitch for their first game of the new season.

Accra Hearts of Oak will trek to Dormaa Ahenkro to face the might of Aduana FC in the first game of the season at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

The Phobians will also look to win the FA Cup trophy for a third season running and, they will also look to do well in Africa where they will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup competition.
