Osofo Kyiri Abosom Breaks Silence On The National Cathedral; Reveals How The Project Will End(Audio)

The founder and leader of Ghana Union Movement(GUM), Osofo Kyiri Abosom has reacted to the trending story in Ghana about the National Cathedral project.

Speaking on Power FM this morning, the man of God revealed that there will never be a structure in the country that will be called a National Cathedral. He added that President Akufo Addo can never complete the project. He added that it will remain in its current state for a long time until another government uses the land for something else. He believes that the project will fail.

“God has not instructed the president to build a Cathedral for Him. He is the one who has decided to build it for God. If he wants to use some tactics on Ghanaians to build the cathedral, then it won’t work. If he had used his own pocket and had solicited for help in the first place, it would have touched the heart of people to donate more.”

“Churches will soon collapse so there is no need to build a national cathedral. So I won’t be surprised if the project doesn’t get anywhere. He can’t complete it. It will be a waste and it will fail. That is how it will end” he stated

He also sent strong message to the men of God who have become Board of Trustees for the project. He told them to bow down their heads in shame for supervising such project.

The 2020 elections was won by President Akufo Addo and the NPP. Before that, President Akufo Addo made a promise to God that he would build a Cathedral for God if he wins the elections. After winning the elections, the president announced his decision to build the cathedral. He made it clear that it will be funded solely by the church and other stakeholders. He added that the taxes of Ghanaians won’t be touched or used to construct the project.

Things seem to have turned upside down as the government has allegedly spent close to ¢400 million on the project with the taxes of the Ghanaian people. The board of trustees have been quite about this and this has raised several concerns and suspicions in the country.
