The West African Senior School Certificate Examination is not without rules and regulations. There are laws that govern the examination for person’s to abide by, and prohibitions that restrict certain actions.
These prohibitions if not noted, are what could cause cancellation of papers and withdrawal from writing. Therefore, all candidates writing are to avoid malpractices. Candidates should bare in mind that, as they are writing the test, if caught going against the rules could affect their overall results.
If a student is to be caught doing any of these malpractices, like asking colleges for answers, invigilators or even referring to foreign materials in the hall will have to face extreme consequences. Perhaps it is not noted, but students caught cheating could have all their papers cancelled. And could also be prohibited from taking the paper again for some years to come. With that being said, it is crucial that all candidates abide by the principal’s guiding the examination and to just do the best they can.
