The recent Auditor General’s report has sparked several controversies in the country. Top Judges in the country were cited for unlawful purchases of vehicles.
Per the Auditor General’s report, the auctions were done in the absence of the approval of the Finance Minister and therefore recommended for such purchases to be nullified.
Interestingly, TV3 Ghana has attracted several remarks from the length and width of the country after the news went viral.
Whilst some Ghanaians were worried about the low prices of the sale, other citizens simply asked about who watches the watchman.
What if the judges did not know about the irregularities during the purchase? Should reputable judges return the vehicles or the finance ministry will find a way to approve the purchases?
Should this irregularity be taken very seriously by Ghanaians? Many concerned Ghanaians have asked for the Auditor-General’s recommendation to be taken seriously.
What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion?
