26-Year-Old Man Killed; Phone And Motorbike Taken By Attackers

Resident of Guntingli in Yendi have expressed fear over recent killings in the area.

They called on the municipal authorities to quickly enhance security measures in the area and the entire Yendi township as their lives are in danger.

They blamed the recent killings in the area on the lack of enough street lighting systems in the area and lack of security patrols.

They made these revelations on the early hours of Tuesday August 30 2022 when they woke up to a scene of a dead young man of about twenty-six years of age in the neighborhood.

Residents could not immediately tell what might have resulted to the death of the young man but many speculate it might have been a robbery attack on him the previous night as it was alleged that the motor bike and phone belonging to the young man were taken away by his suspected attackers.

This brings the number of such killings in the Dagbon capital to two in less than two months. The situation that has sparked a lot of fear and worry in many residents in the municipality.
