Methodist University College Now A Fully Fledged University To Give Its Own Degrees

The Methodist University College of Ghana has received a 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒓 making it a full-fledged University that will now award its own degrees rather than through an affiliate University as required of all private Universities without a charter.

The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist church Ghana, Most Reverend Titus Awotwi Pratt received the Charter Certificate from The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on behalf of the University.

The ceremony took place at the Jubilee House on Tuesday 30th August, 2022.

This would add up to the few private schools that have attained this status to support the government universities in absorbing students from the second cycle institutions and the pre tertiary students.

It will also grant the school opportunity to award its own post graduate degrees.
