Former Black Stars midfielder, Agyemang Badu says he is not fit enough to play for the home based senior national team, the Black Galaxies.
The 30-year-old joined local club, Great Olympics until the end of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
The former Berekum Arsenal and Asante Kotoko star says he is focused on his fitness level and to help the youngsters develop their confidence.
“Right now I’m not ready, my fitness level is very important to me right now.
“I just joined the club [Great Olympics] one week ago and I need to concentrate on Olympics right now to help them get a respectable position on the league.
“And to help the guys to grow, that is my ambition for now.” Agyemang Badu told Radio Gold Talk Sport.
The Black Galaxies have a 2-0 advantage against Nigeria from the first leg of the Championship for Africa Nations with the reverse fixture set for Abuja.
Badu has played in Italy for Udinese and Hellas Verona as well as Bursaspor of Turkey and Quindao fc of China.
