Confidence is your belief in how good you are at something, but it’s not a measure completely define your actual skill. The way you feel about yourself influences how you live and interact with others. If you are confident about yourself, you tend to see yourself positively and have a positive mindset. There is nothing in life that cannot be improved. In this particular write-up, we shall discuss about eight little things or better still effective ways to boost your confidence.

Work on conversation skills. To be more articulate while speaking, try to speak slowly and clearly. It is better to speak slowly and have clear pronunciation then speak fast and not be clear. Here are a couple of things you can do: Record your voice every day. Just say on any random topic or just to start, speak about your day and then listen to it. It helps to understand your pauses, fluency, speed of your speaking. Try to be consistent and later it will surely help you. Every day just for a minute look into the mirror and speak on any topic randomly. It will build confidence in you to speak in front of a gathering of more than 2 people and simultaneously helps you to introspect yourself as in how you look while speaking, your gestures, expressions, etc.

Be presentable. The way you dress up speaks a lot about how confident you are as a person. There are a plethora of videos and channels on youtube. Subscribe some good ones and try to get some insights.

Always know the surroundings. If you want to master the art of holding a conversation with people you can’t deprive your mind of information and knowledge. Generally, people aren’t able to hold a conversation or are not confident with people because they get short of topics. Build the habit of reading a newspaper and books of various genres. Aware of country, politics, sports, international news and areas of your read or interests will increase your confidence in conversation with people.

Exercise. Work on your body. I’m not saying to have 6-pack abs and do 7-day gym. Just do some physical activity every day according to your capacity. Doing little every day would have far fetched results than setting unrealistic goals.

Get out of your comfort zone. The more you will get out of your comfort zone, the more you will evolve as a confident person. The people who always stay in their shell/comfort zone, they are always afraid when something new comes up in their journey. So, never be afraid of trying something new. Whether it’s learning swimming or giving a speech in front of a crowd, just do it.

Never compare yourself with others. This is something we all do and this is the biggest reason for under-confidence in most people. We need to accept that everyone is different in their way. (Someone might be better in memory retention and someone might be in aptitude).

Love Yourself . This is the most underrated trait which we all lack today. Just love yourself the way you are and appreciate your personality. No need to change yourself for others. If you want to change, change for yourself.

Be comfortable with yourself. Whether you are an introvert or eat biscuits with coffee or randomly start dancing at night. Just remain the way you are. No need to make everything so rigid.
