Check What Desperation Is Doing To Our Vice President

Maybe it’s not what I am thinking. Is the vice President desperate to become president at all cost?

The second gentleman of the land is known to be patronizing churches although he is a Muslim and his teaching is against the practice. But because he is hopping to succeed his boss, he is doing to send a message of unity.

Last Sunday, Dr. Bawumia stormed the Salvation Army Ghana Church as the church celebrated its 100 years in Ghana. In his speech, Dr. Bawumia commended the church for contributing to the social and infrastructural development of Ghana. He appealed to the church to continue to impact good moral values on the youth who are the future leaders. He made this known in a Facebook post intercepted by CitizenOne.

“I graced the Centenary Anniversary Celebration of the Salvation Army Ghana Church in Accra.

Since its humble beginning at Agona Duakwa in 1922, the Salvation Army Ghana has grown to become one of the most impactful churches in the country, with about 127 branches around country.

The Salvation Army has also made significant contributions towards the development of our country, especially in the education and health sectors, having built a number of schools and health facilities.

On the occasion of its 100th Anniversary, I congratulate the Salvation Army Ghana for the positive impact they have made on our country.”

But the vice president does not go to churches only, he also readily avail himself to other functions and fairs. Earlier he had stormed an exhibition fair organised by Citi FM. Dr. Bawumia expressed delight over the quality of made in Ghana goods being exhibited. He promised to facilitate the exportation of such products for foreign exchange.

“I graced an exhibition of indigenous products, dubbed “This is Ghana” in Accra, and it was remarkable to see Ghanaian ingenuity on display.

I was quite impressed by the number of Made in Ghana products on display; from simple things such as tiger nut cookies, beautifully–designed fabrics, shoes, ‘alata samina’ soap, to locally manufactured poultry feeds for farmers, as well as technological innovations like locally-assembled vehicles and machinery for farmers and digital applications, which connect sellers and buyers.

The presence of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority and the Exim Bank Ghana was refreshing, because we do not want our local producers to sell their products only here in Ghana. We also want them to expand and be able to export, through the support of institutions like the GIPC and the Exim Bank.

Kudos to Citi FM and all other partners who came together to make this good initiative possible. Government, on its part, will continue to put in place measures to support our local industries”, Bawumia wrote on his Facebook page.

So what do you think is the reason why Bawumia is running errands? Is it desperation to become president or he is hardworking? Take to the comments section to share your thoughts.
