It had been in the news for a few days that Manhyia had shut down Oyerepa FM/TV because of insults broadcast by politician Akwasi Addai Odike.
After their shutdown, the media company sent an apology to Manhyia and even sent an official to personally apologize, but their efforts were met with rejection and the instruction to return after having made extensive preparations.
Leaders from several media outlets, including Prof. Emmanuel Asante, travelled to Manhyia for a second time to apologize in person.
