It Is Still Surprising To Believe, That The President Really ‘Got Lost’ On His Way

The President of Ghana, in his recent comment has hinted, that the comments by the opposition NDC; that he (President Nana Addo), is ‘lost on his way’; and that, he is still looking for a way out; is really true.

His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is the 5th President in the fourth Republic of Ghana.

There is no doubt; or nobody can dispute the fact, that His Excellency President Nana Addo is one of the finest President in Ghana’s History.

It can be well remembered, that the president, just after assuming the seat of the presidency said; that he is in hurry the work; and indeed after assuming office, the energy was great, and the spirit was also high; giving birth to great many developments.

The initial great energy and high spirit’ that was exhibited; pushed president Nana Addo to start his first term with great new developments; like the Implementation of the Free Senior High School Education Policy; the Restoration of Trainee Teachers and Nurses Allowance, and the Zongo Development Fund policy.

He will also be remembered for his great initiatives like the One District One Factory (1D1F); and the Fulfillment of the One Constituency One Ambulance promise.

These few developments; which has been described by many as ‘the 9 day wonder’, gave President Nana Addo the beautiful nickname, ‘Nana Showboy’; though we can still remember some of his juicy promises like; ‘he is coming to put money in every Ghanaian’s pocket’, coming to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa’, ‘creating more jobs for the youth’, and many more.

The clear fact is, Ghana is currently facing great challenges with the economy. Living conditions in the country are high; goods and services are also great problems; businesses are falling, the poor seems to be getting poorer, whiles the rich are also falling.

‘Confirming’ the opposition NDC’s claim, that he is lost, on this journey to lead Ghana to ‘paradise’, president Nana Addo revealed, that “government is finding ways to salvage the economy, which has been marked by great disruption in the global economy”.

The point is, it surprising; and sometimes shocking, to hear President Nana Addo telling us things are ok in the country when in reality, there are serve hardships among Ghanaians.

Again; we sometimes wonder; if the Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia that we saw and heard in 2016, ahead of electrons, are the same people we have today.

It is very shocking to hear the President and his vice these days…mounting platforms; look into the face of the suffering Ghanaian’s, and still tell them everything is ok with them; and that there are no sufferings in the country.

In the midst of the sufferings in the country; especially in the Northern regions of the country; President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo still believe, that his party the New Patriotic Party will be winning more parliamentary seats in the Savannah Region in the upcoming elections in 2024.

In his two-day working tour of the Savannah Region, the President stated, that he “derives satisfaction in the development initiated by his government in the region”; and that, although his main political opponent (John Mahama), comes from the region, he is optimistic that the region is a growth zone for his party.

Speaking on a local radio station in the region, the president said, “We went into the last elections, and we came out with 3 out of the 7 seats, and we believe that we are poised to go further in this region. Therefore, know that my eyes will be in this region”.

At this point; remembering all the big promises Nana Addo (then Candidate for NPP), gave Ghanaians; and looking at situations under his control, we cant help but to believe, that the president is really lost his way.
