I Will Say It Today; He Must Also Be Banished From Manhyia – Captain Smart Serves Strong Notice

Following Akwasi Addai, popularly known as Odike’s issue with the Kumasi Traditional Council came out, some Ghanaians have expressed their opinion on it and they believe that the banishment of Odike from Manhyia was too harsh. Other believed that Odike spoke the truth and for that matter, hs deserves no punishment at all.

Captain Smart, host of Onua Maakye show on Onua TV has reacted to this and has made it clear that the Ashanti regional Minister, Honourable Simon Osei-Mensah should also be banished from Manhyia. According to Captain Smart, this minister disrespected Otumfour Osei Tutu II some time ago when he gave a document to Otumfour to read about some mining activities in the region.

Captain Smart sees this as an ‘insult’ to Otumfour. This is because, no one needs to dictate words to a great chief like Otumfour Osei Tutu II. For this reason, Captain Smart is calling on the Kumasi Traditional Council to do the needful and banish this minister as well.

Kumasi Traditional Council, if you have already banished Odike from Manhyia, then the Ashanti regional Minister should also be banished. You know why, he didn’t show a single sign of respect to the Ashanti chief. Otumfour even told the council that what he is saying must be in their thoughts because the people do not respect them” he said.

Captain Smart also alleged that the Minister of Land and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor and the Ashanti regional minister are all over involved in galamsey activities in the region. He is therefore urging the chiefs to investigate this so that the president can sack them from their ministerial appointments

The fight against Galamsey or Illegal mining in the country is still on but less efficient now. This is because, several government officials are into this illegality which makes it difficult for others to prosecute or expose them. Most of the river bodies in the country are in their brownish stage. Some villages find it difficult to get portable water to drink. This is one of the main issues the country is facing currently.
