The FIFA 2022 World Cup is barely 3 months away and the qualified countries are gearing up for the mundial in November. Africa will be represented by Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Cameroon and Ghana. These 5 nations qualified after a long and tedious qualification process. The most interesting of the last eliminators was the Ghana versus Nigeria clash where the former won by the away goal rule to pick the slot for the tournament.
Since then the rivalry between the two West African nations has intensified. Yesterday, Ghana added more pain by beating Nigeria 2-0 in the first leg of the CHAN qualifiers. Well today, away jerseys for 3 nations representing Africa was released by Puma. Many Ghanaians were not pleased with the new jerseys which are to cost a little over 900 cedis for one.
Even with the home jerseys many still blasted the Ghana Football Association for not getting the best quality. The away jerseys have increased the heat on the FA. Many feel that the jerseys are not up to standard and not befitting the Black Stars.
The Nigerians who failed to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar are also reacting and questioning the quality of shirts made for Ghana. According to most of the comments, the jersey quality shows that the Black Stars won’t do well at the mundial.
