Captain Smart is in trouble over defamatory disquisitions against Paul Adom Otchere. The two have been against each other’s opinions for the past few months. Captain Smart was a promoter of the Npp’s projects and Nana Addo’s comeback until he was not anymore. We saw pictures of Captain Smart carrying a bag of cement to show his support for Nana Addo during the sod cutting ceremony of the cathedral. But things have changed.
The broadcast journalist is against the Npp and this is how the brawl between the two started. It would have been a normal misunderstanding between two men who are fully aware of what they are doing and what their differences are until Captain Smart decided to cross his boundaries.
On live television, he called out the good evening Ghana host, Paul Adom Otchere after he had earlier rained insults on him and received a reply from Paul. Captain Smart proceeded to talk about some issues which has earned him the troubles he has with his supporters and Ghanaians today.
According to Captain Smart, he would not like to liken himself to Paul who has had an affair with his sister-in-law I’m the past. These comments among others have been flagged as below the belt. Captain had the right to talk about anything he desired to talk about until he included the names and family of Paul which is not a good thing to be done on the media.
He has been called out and pushed to apologize to the public and Paul Adom Otchere because these allegations are not only image-tarnishing but has the potentials of causing some damages to the accused and his family. No one drags Captain’s family into his mess and brawls on the media. Why then will he do such a thing to his colleague?
