Accident: Scores Rushed To Hospital As Speeding Vehicle Summersaults And Land Into a Ditch

A Hyundai H100 with registration number AW 2418-11 loaded with passengers heading to Breman Asikuma from Assin Fosu has been involved in an accident at Assin Kwaataa in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

The gory accident which occurred on Friday around 1300hrs on 26th August 2022 had all passengers the driver sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to St Francis Xavier Hospital for treatment.

Eyewitnesses told Rich Fm and Angel TV Reporter, Kwame Owusu Asante Shadrack that the driver behind the vehicle was over speeding and subsequently somersaulted and landed upside down.

A team of MTTD officials from the Assin Fosu Division led by the station officer, Chief Inspector Joseph Boateng on hearing the news swiftly went to the scene to initiate investigation into the cause of the accident.

The preliminary investigation conducted by the police revealed that the vehicle on reaching Assin Kwaata township allegedly attempted to overtake a vehicle ahead of it but rather lost control of the steering wheel and went into a ditch.

Police as part of their investigation visited the injured at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital.
