Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has reacted to a video of revealing the cause of death of Ghanaian actor, Stephen Prince Yawson who is widely known in showbiz as Waakye.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, A Plus wrote;
“When some of us complain about poor healthcare, some of those who are likely to experience it are those who will insult. Today it’s Waakye, tomorrow it may be you or your loved one.Â
Everybody shall positively die, but death can be delayed till we grow old and die a natural death.”
Background
His comments was triggered by a one week observation video of Awaakye in which a woman sadly narrated the incidence that lead to his death.
In the video, one woman narrated that Waakye stayed in a taxi for four hours because all the hospital beds were full. “He was first taken to Korlebu hospital, but didn’t get a bed, he was then sent to Ridge hospital but still couldn’t get a bed. Even at 37 Military hospital, there were no beds, it was a patient who said he is a bit better and gave out his bed to him.” The woman narrated.
She also said that, Waakye’s wife was not given the chance to stay with him at the hospital that night. The wife went only to met that her husband has fallen off from the bed with the legs crossed under the bed.
A Plus is of the view that, the health system needs to be fixed.
