A man by the name of Akwasi Oppong from Agona Gyamase shares his ordeal about why his mother wants to bury their stepfather at their church premises. According to the man, his late father who was a pastor bought land at Gyamase and established his church, and did the work of God for many years.
Akwasi said their father fell sick and died. A year later the new pastor who was appointed to be their father’s successor got married to their mother and gave birth to another two children. The man said they all lived happily but their stepfather too fell sick and died.
Instead of the his mother and the church elders to find a cemetery and bury him, they have all come into agreement to bury him at the church premises, claiming that he told them to do that after his demise. Akwasi added that they didn’t support their mother’s decision because his late father who bought the land and established the church was not even buried at the church premises.
The man said they will not allow her mother and the church elders to bury their stepfather at that place. Although they have made the tomb for the burial service but he wants help so that they can prevent their mother and the church elders from going ahead to bury their stepfather at that place.
