A young man 34 years old has been arrested by Awutu Bawjiase Police Department for deforming his wife with acid. The name of this young man given by the Ghana Police Service is Ishmael Asiso Aboku. The report indicates that he poured acid on his wife, Comfort Tawiah after a little misunderstanding. Ishmael Asiso Aboku after seeing that what he has done is wrong sent his wife to the hospital for immediate treatment.
However, doctors’ reports to the family indicate that the acid he poured on his wife has permanent damage to her eyes and there is nothing doctors can do to reverse it. The family after this news from the doctors reported the case to the police station even though Ishmael Asiso Aboku has promised to take care of their doctor.
They probably thought the acid caused a minor injury. The police after getting information about this incident quickly attempted to arrest Ishmael Asiso Aboku. The suspect decided to run away with his car after he saw the police but the police shot his car tyre and they arrested him.
Investigation concerning this sad incident is still ongoing as the police service is arranging for Ishmael Asiso Aboku to fave a court trial soon. Some Ghanaians after coming across this video said that these incidents are becoming too rampant in the country.
