Canada Has Started Discussions For Them To Also Issue Their Version Of The ‘Ghana Card’ – Bawumia

Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has revealed the plans of Canada to have their version of the Ghana card.

Dr Bawumia, who has been talking more about digitization and digitalization revealed at a gathering.

Addressing the first Biennial Joint Session of the East, West and Mid Ghana Conferences of the Western West Africa Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Zion Church at Gomoa Nyanyano in the Central Region, the vice president highlighted on the benefits of the National Identification Authority (NIA) card also known as Ghana card.

Dr Bawumia urged the church to register for their individual Ghana cards.

According to him, Canada has started discussions for them to also have their version of the Ghana card.

He added that the United States of America has gotten a bill going through the senate to issue the Ghana card type of national ID.

“Digitization is the future, and we can not afford to be left behind.

I will let you know that Canada only last week has started discussions for them to also issue their version of the Ghana card. The United States of America, has got the bill now going through the senate… I think they’re discussing in the senate to issue the same Ghana card. The don’t have it in the United States of America,” said Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at the event.
