“Kotoko Coach Will Soon Get His Tactics Right” – Former Ghana Striker

Ex-Asante Kotoko striker, Eric Bekoe says the club’s new coach, Seydou Zerbo will soon get his tactics right despite the first loss.

The Burkinabe trainer lost his first game in Kotoko’s 2-0 defeat to Al Hilal of Sudan in their first pre-season exercise.

“When we talk about football, football has its own language where if you start to play under a coach, you study how he works.

“Football now is science, it’s an art where a player must adapt quickly if you want to play to the highest level.

“Apart from interviews where players will suffer if you don’t understand the language and all that but when it comes to football, it’s about system, it’s about formation.

“So how do you get quickly into the coach’s plan? That is the most important thing.

“He is coming from a Francophone country and so far most of our players also from the Francophone country.

“The likes of Franck Mbella, Georges Mfegue and the likes so it’s left with the Ghanaian players to adapt to the system because you don’t need explanation to do a certain drill.

“As soon as they put the drill and they show you how to go about it, you start to go so you need to be professional in this case.” Eric Bekoe told Radio Gold Talk Sport.
