This 13MW Solar Plant at Kaleo in the Nadowli Kaleo District of the Upper West Region was commissioned by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo yesterday and it is the first phase of what will eventually be a 28MW Solar Plant.
This project was funded by KfW, a German Government Development Bank, through a loan agreement between the Governments of Germany and Ghana
Elecnor S.A. from Spain was responsible for the extensive construction of the project with Tractebel Engineering of Germany serving as the Project Consultant stamping its creative ideas into the frame of the realization of the project on time.
This project is one of the many projects promised by the Nana Addo-Bawumia-led administration to the Ghanaian people respectively.
The second phase will soon commence with a staggering increase in megawatts that will sustain the people of Nadowli Kaleo District of the Upper West Region and its environs respectively to ease pressure from the national electrical grid.
With this initiative, the Nana Addo-led administration must be commended for the good work done.
