A Ghanaian man of God has been recorded on camera complaining about the offering his church members paid during church service. If you look inside the offering bowl he showed to his church members, you can only see GH¢1.00 notes. The pastor after seeing this got disappointed and started shouting at his members.
Speaking in the video, the pastor told his members that he became saddened when he saw the offering in the offertory bowl. As a result of this, he told the money counters not to count it because the offering will reach GH¢20.00. The man of God, therefore, told his congregation that the offering shows that there are a lot of poor people in the church.
This is what the man of God said in the typical Twi language, “I was very sad when I saw the amount of money in the bowl so I asked the sister not to count it. Just look at the few GH¢1.00 in the offering bowl. This is a sign that there are a lot of poor people in the church. If you are a poor person here raise your hand. From today onwards, if I see you with a GH¢1.00 note, then it means you are the poor person among us”.
Some Ghanaians after coming across this video said that what the man of God said to his members show that he doesn’t care about them but their money. The hardship in the economy is making life difficult for a lot of people. It is not their fault.
