N/R: Some NDC Supporters Storm Party Office With Guns Demanding The Removal Of The Acting Chairman

News coming in indicates that some unidentified supporters of the National Democratic Congress have stormed the Northern regional branch office of the party with guns demanding the removal of the acting chairman of the party, Adolf Ali.

This comes barely a week after the dead of the former chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila. The 90-year-old politician died on Tuesday, 16 August 2022 at the Tamale Teaching Hospital after a short illness. As per Islamic customs, he was been buried on the same day. Until his death, the NDC regional chairman was the Chief of Tugu Yapalsi.

In a video which was has been shared by Metro TV Ghana reveals some unidentified supporters destroying several equipments at the party office. No one knows the reason these men were saying that they don’t want their new aspiring chairman, Adolf Ali.

The party will soon go into primaries and elect their new executives. Could it mean that the acting Chairman will have more advantages than the other aspirants during the elections. The election is said to take place in the month of November this year. It will be conducted at the constituency level, before the regional level and later, at the National Level.

In the video which was shared by Metro TV Ghana on their Facebook page, guns were seen been shot into the air. Bullets were fired severally indicating their anger. At the time of the destruction, the acting Chairman was not present. Things could have been worse if he was around.

This is not the first time such practices have taken place as far as party politics is concerned. A lot of people have lost their lives while people are still serving jail terms because of some practices they showed during political activities.
