My Players Showed Too Much Respect To Qatar – Black Galaxies Head Coach Reveals

Head coach of Black Galaxies Annor Walker has revealed reasons behind the latest defeat to his side. He explains that his players were too courteous to the opponent, resulting in the lost.

“My players showed too much respect to Qatar because they thought that was their senior side and they are also hosting the World Cup, so they gave them respect.” He said.

Black Galaxies lost 1:2 to Qatar today, in a friendly game in Austria. Daniel Afriyie Barnieh got the consolation for coach Annor Walker and his lads.

Coach Annor Walker and his henchmen are preparing for a Chan qualifier against sworn rivals Nigeria this weekend.

Ghana is working assiduously to make it to the Chan after missing out in the last three editions of the tournament.

Coach Annor Walker and his players had a smooth ride over Benin in a two legged affairs. Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Mohammed Alhassan and Gladson Awako were the scorers for Ghana in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium.

In the second leg in Cotonou, Benin, Ghana had a lone goal courtesy Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.

The entire playing body and technical team will be back in Ghana this weekend and take on Nigeria.
