Raymond Ablorh, a journalist and a former Manager at Airtel Ghana has asserted that the largest opposition party in Ghana, NDC don’t seem to know what to do to win 2024 elections. He is of the view that they are only relying on the failure of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Monday , 22nd August 2022, he wrote;
“Were NPP in Opposition, I bet they would’ve organised Economics lectures in Ghana for Prof Steve Hanke and Bawumia, and our supposed intellectual “middle class” shall patronize and disseminate the to media saturation levels.”
The NDC don’t seem to know what to do and how to engage supposed independent minded stakeholders and non-partisan actors to drive a change agenda. They’re counting on Akufo-Addo and Bawumia’s failure. Nobody want to use their money; everybody is looking up to John Mahama and few people. Raymond asserted.
Raymond asserted that NDC is only crying to citizens, “why are you not talking now? You were talking when we’re in power.”Â
When they’re enjoying in government how many of their foot soldiers did they support and help to thrive and build funding chests? NDC grassroots even suffered than their opponents. That’s why Volta Region suffered voter apathy. He added.
“Today, Akufo-Addo and his family have come to shut a lot of their businesses and those of their cronies. What both parties must know is that many citizens have lost hope in both of them, the entire establishment and our democracy.”
Raymond added that NDC can’t depend solely on the failure of Nana Akufo-Addo led NPP to win the next elections.Â
Had people died for NPP in 2016, they would’ve died in vain (just look at what Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia are doing today) and should people sacrifice their lives in 2024 for NDC, they shall die in vain. Raymond remarked.
He advised NDC to showcase what’s new and do it properly to give Ghanaians hope.
