Gyimah Kutin’s murder; Gabriella and Ellen advises the black race

Few days ago,Kutin Gyimah, a 52 year old Ghanaian taxi driver resident in New York was murdered in Queens by a group of five young people, revealed by a CCTV footage. According to the NYPD, the suspects took a ride from the victim and ran away without paying. When he attempted to chase them, he was kicked and punched. He landed on the ground after one of the knocks, cracked his skull and lost consciousness. Kutin was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Three of the suspects have reportedly turned themselves in and have been slapped with various charges whilst the others are on the run. The gang seems to be dominated by blacks.

Discussing the issue on Randy Abbey’s Good morning Ghana show, Gbriella Tetteh who is the member of the communications team of the NDC condemned the act and added that, if the black community wants the whites to change their ‘ill behaviours’ towards them, they themselves need to first change. According to her, there are some black people in those white communities that do so well and grow to become prominent members in those communities. That is what the blacks should pursue and that is what the narrative should be.

During her turn, Ellen Ama Daaku who is also a communicator for the NPP added to the voice Gabriella that, sometimes, apart from the pain of lost, the main problem is how the single mothers are left to take care of the kids alone during such circumstances. She however prayed that, the Ghanaian community there should not go to sleep after the funeral, but they should find ways to support the family beyond the funeral.
