2022 GMA USA: Kofi Kinaata named Artiste of the Year, view the complete list of winners

Martin King Arthur, also known as Kofi Kinaata and a native of Takoradi, won the most coveted prize at the recently concluded Ghana Music Awards USA.

Columbus, Ohio’s Lincoln Theater on 769 E. Long Street, Kofi Kinaata was named Artist of the Year. He defeated a strong field that included Diana Hamilton, the winner from the previous year, Black Sherif, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy.

The Hip-hop/Highlife Artiste of the Year and New Artiste of the Year honors went to rapper Black Sherif as well.

Female vocalist of the year is Diana Hamilton, and male vocalist of the year is Akwaboah. The song “Yeeko” by Okyeame Kwame, featuring Kuami Eugene, and Epixode, who won Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year, is the most popular song of the year.

There was no exception for the Lynx Entertainment boys. KiDi won the Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste of the Year title, while Kuami Eugene took home the Sound Engineer/Producer of the Year honor.

The majority of fans thought a woman would win Artiste of the Year, but things turned out otherwise. Many people watched the show, and we hope that similar events will take place here as well. Regarding the dress faction, rumors abound.

The competition included outstanding performances throughout the entire program. Here are some great images of the winners that you might enjoy viewing:
