John Dumelo is one of the most popular actors in Ghana. He doubles as a politician in the country as he fiercely contested for the position of the Member of Parliament at the Ayawaso West Wuogon. The handsome actor narrowly lost that election to Madam Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
Well, John Dumelo has said this several times; describing himself as a businessman and a commercial farmer.
He has dropped a video on his Facebook page. He captioned his video; my grasscutters are multiplying.
It is very important to note that John Dumelo would not have ventured into farming if the task was not profitable.
He keeps the youth to participate in agriculture as the opportunities in that sector are flamboyant.
Many Ghanaians have reacted to John Dumelo’s post as they applauded his zeal to invest in the grass cutter business to the extent that the animals are multiplying.
The joy of a farmer, when he starts getting results, is indescribable. No wonder, the great actor and farmer could not keep calm but share his success story with the rest of the world.
Even though he did not mention how many grass cutters he started with and how many they are now, what he said was for other prospective farmers and his cherished farmers to know that his grasscutters are multiplying.
Some Ghanaians remarked about how one grass cutter cost GHS700 in Kumasi. Does that mean that our brother should be making some good money from the bush if the animals multiply into thousands? Is that not GHS700,000?
Is John Dumelo’s success story not a good reason to start farming?
The grasscutters are not only multiplying but they look big and beautiful.
Is farming that easy? Is Farming capital intensive? Are there losses in farming?
What are your thoughts on the ongoing discussion?
