According to her, her mother in law stays abroad but came back few months ago. Yaa said since the return of her mother in law, she has no peace. She said her in-law has a problem with almost everything she does. She described her in law as a setback in her marital life.
Tired of her in law’s behavior, she went to see a pastor who gave her a liquid and spiritual direction ( Akwankyere). She was asked to sprinkle the liquid around the house and pray for seven days which she did. After completing the direction, her mother in law paralyzed and she is currently bedridden. Yaa said she is saddened by the development because, her problem has rather compounded due to the fact that, she now takes care of her in- law and cannot work again. Yaa added that, when she reported to the pastor, the pastor only replied that, it is what they have been praying for. She then told the pastor that, she actually only wanted her in-law to free her, not to fall sick.
Commenting on the issue, Osofo Kwadwo Bentil who is a teacher of the cosmic and the guest on Tv3 confessions show hosted by Miss Nancy, started by blaming the lady for not enquiring about her husband’s family to know more about them before going into the marriage. Osofo said if she had done that, she would have known her mother in-law better, and things wouldn’t get to this stage. He is of the view that, the mother in-law’s condition could be coincidental and may not be as a result of her “akwankyere”, however, they need to consult afah whom he described as the god of devination to know the cause of the woman’s condition. It is only then that they can reverse whatever problem it is.
Asked if Yaa want to reverse her in-law’s sickness, she seems to be so exhausted with the terror she puts her through such that, in her reply, she stated that, if it is reversed, her in law would still subject her to the same torment. She will however be okay if her in-law will free her when she gets okay.
Miss Nancy then asked her what her plans are regarding the issue and she answered that, she is thinking of opening up to her husband. But Osofo disagreed,saying that, it will be the biggest mistake to do because, she don’t actually know the root cause of the sickness and until that is verified, she shouldn’t tell her husband anything.
