The former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has sent a message to all members of the National Democratic Congress during the final funeral rite of Late Ibrahim Mobila. Ibrahim Mobila became the party Northern regional chairman in 2018 and has been in such position for the party until his demise on August 16.
Speaking at the final funeral service of the late Northern Regional Chairman of the NDC on Sunday, John Mahama revealed that the Late Ibrahim Mobila served the party very well when he was alive. He added that the members of the party should honour his death by making the party win back power in 2025.
“Nobody knows when his time will come, and so like General Secretary and our chairman said, the least honour we can pay to our chairman Mobila is to win the 2024 election and bring NDC back into office” he stated.

A lot of party executives were available to give their supports to the family members. Current and former executives, members of Parliament as well as former government appointees were all present at the funeral to mourn with the family of the late Northern regional chairman, Chief Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila.
Several tributes were read. The party executives called the late Mobila as a man of Wisdom. They all shared a word of memory about the late chariman and sent some messages to the family. Several donations were made by the party executives to be given to the family.
The National Democratic Congress is one of the leading parties to win back power in the 2024 elections. The party lost the elections in 2016 and have been in opposition since that time. John Mahama believes that the NDC will win if the party executives and members come together. It is also very likely that John Mahama will once again be the party’s flag bearer.
