The 64km Ashaiman roundabout to Akosombo junction road project has begun in earnest, with the contractor, Inzag GmbH, fully mobilized on site to see yo an excellent job done.
The project is one of the many developmental promises listed under the Nana addo-Bawumia-led administration to oversee an almost perfect road network linking the eastern corridor travel routes.
Honorable Amoako-Attah visited the project site to inspect the progress of work and gave out a lauding response to the constructors on the enormous work done in achieving as proposed to the people of Ghana in no time.
The 256 million Euros project which is expected to be completed in September 2024 consists of the following simplified structures:
• The construction of a flyover at Ashaiman.
• The Construction of an interchange at Asutuare.
• The construction of a two-lane dual carriageway and two-lane service road from Ashaiman to Kpong.
• The construction of a two-lane single carriageway from Kpong to Atimpoko.
• The construction of three river bridges.
• The construction of 11 pedestrian footbridges.
• The provision of walkways, streetlights, and drainage.
The project is part of the government’s plan to dualize all major roads in the country in making traveling and motoring more efficient and safe for whoever plows the road for diverse reasons.
