DEFENDERS
Ben White (7/10):
Great play in the build up to Arsenal’s second goal. Continuing to perform well out of position at right back.
William Saliba (10/10):
Another superb performance from the young Frenchman. Calm, assured, dominant and scored an absolute worldie. Completed all 75 of his passes. Sensational.
Gabriel Magalhaes (7/10):
Given some tricky moments by Kieffer Moore in the air, but dealt with the big striker relatively well.
Oleksandr Zinchenko (8/10):
Quality throughout. Excellent on the ball, caused Bournemouth so many problems with his clever movement.
MIDFIELD
(7/10) Thomas Partey:
Nothing extraordinary. Defense wasn’t a problem, so I just kept the ball going. Easy job today.
(8/10) Granit Xhaka:
The Swiss midfielder, who appears to be enjoying his more forward role, put up another strong display.
(8/10) Martin Odegaard:
Two objectives, the second of which was magnificent. The captain’s performance won the match.P
ATTACKERS
Bukayo Saka (7/10):
Another quiet game by his high standards. Yet to really get going this season.
Gabriel Jesus (8/10):
Set the tone with his sensational bit of play in the build-up to the opening goal. Didn’t score himself, but picked up another assist. Excellent.
Gabriel Martinelli (8/10):
Continued his excellent start to the season. Should have scored with the initial shot that led to Odegaard’s opening goal, but caused constant problems with his tireless work rate.
Arsenal after their first three games; 9 points, nine goals, topping the table. That’s incredible performance from lads.
