It’s Sad How Members Of Akufo-Addo’s Regime Persist To Do Worse Of What They Condemned In Opposition

Raymond Ablorh, a Journalist and a former Manager at Airtel Ghana, has lamented on how members of NPP continues to do worse of the very things they condemned when in opposition. His comments comes in wake of what some people perceive to be a conflict of interest in Ken Ofori-Atta’s Data bank serving as advisors to government.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Friday, 19th August 2022, He wrote;

It’s sad how members of Akufo-Addo’s administration continue to do worse of what they condemned in opposition and their communicators cite the very things they condemned as excuses for the unacceptable repetition of same.

Raymond sighted NDC’s General Secretary who was a member of the Bui Dam Board who got a disgusting procurement contract from same as an example. He said that the NPP and some of them condemned it just as we did people involved in similar conflict of interest cases.

“Then, we decided to change the NDC and bring in responsible citizens who aspire to excellence in governance.

Annoyingly, after the Change of Hope, we’re now faced with a hopeless situation where worse of the very ills we condemned with NPP in opposition are being perpetuated by party and government functionaries family and friends of the President.” He added.

Raymond alleged that we saw how the owner of Fio Enterprise who was, I don’t know if she still is a Board Member of GRA was given a scandalous GRA office renting contract to the chagrin of even NPP members who supported Nana Akufo-Addo’s bid.

He said that if even Ken Ofori-Atta’s conflict of interest is the only case, people have the right to complian.

When people complain or raise issues, they’re being reminded of similar ills in the past and how NDC members or supporters reacted to criticisms. It’s as if how they reacted too is a justification for similar reaction in defence of what many condemned not too long ago.

“Aren’t Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia supposed to be better than John Mahama in office? How are they better by supervising the infuriating repetition of if not worse of what they condemned John Mahama for? He quizzed.

At least, change has a meaning. It doesn’t mean same. And, Change of Hope must bring hope not hopelessness.Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia have failed Ghanaians. And, there’s no BUT about it.
