The 1st Deputy Speaker of parliament Honorable Joseph Osei-Owusu popularly regarded as Joe Wise, has praised the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his contributions to making abundance of food in the country.
According to Joe Wise who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency, despite the economic challenges in the country now, he does not spend more than GHC 20 on food a day when travels to his constituency.
The 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament made this revelation on Kessben Maakye show hosted by Kwame Appiah Kubi.
He said;
“I don’t spend more than GHC20 on food in a day when I am in Bekwai. For the past two weeks that I have been in Bekwai, there is not a single day that I spend more than GHC 20 on food”.
He strongly believes that, food has been in abundance in the country at the expense of inflation. According to him, the major challenge over food inflation has been transporting the foodstuffs to the major cities.
