Popular broadcast journalist Kwesi Parker Wilson who host Oyerepa TV’s morning show has commented that Women’s Aglow Ministry have displayed their hypocrisy in their current prayer topic. He said that during John Mahama’s era, they prayed for wisdom to the leaders of the country and against corruption. However during Akufo-Addo’s era, they pray for God to have mercy on us and repent from our sins for the current hardship to go away.
His post was shared through Nana Jantuah of Nhyira FM he wrote;
“In 2014, 15 and 16, the prayer topics championed by the Women’s Aglow Ministry were, “God give our leaders wisdom, God give knowledge and understanding to our leadership, Prayer against corruption amongst others.
Fast forward to 2022, the prayer topics are, Current wind of hardship will go if we reconnect with God, Awurade Hu Ghana mmobo( Lord have mercy on Ghana) amongst others.”
He further argued that under Mahama, you asked God to give John Mahama wisdom and knowledge because they thought he lacked wisdom. He prayed against corruption because you believed he was corrupt.
 “Under Akufo Addo you are asking us (Ghanaians) to reconnect with God so that our problems will be solved, you are also asking God to have mercy on us. So under this current administration, there’s no corruption for you to pray against? Our leaders are sensible and wise and so no prayer asking for wisdom and knowledge for them to govern the country?” He asked.
He added that our elders say, the only vice that cannot be forgiven is hypocrisy.Â
This hypocriscy ain’t from only the Aglow women but even within our orthodox churches. I remember how these pastors used to lead us in prayers to pray against JM but they are now quiet. Posterity will judge us all.
