Highest Spenders This Summer In Europe’s Top Five Leagues So Far: Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern, Leeds

A lot of money spent on players this summer, here is a compiled report on the top spenders in Europe’s top five leagues so far.

The Europe five top leagues always considered to be the – English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, German Bundesliga and the French Ligue 1 – Chelsea according to statistics gathered has spent the most on new signees than any other team followed by Barcelona, Bayern Munich and seven other teams.

Breakdown of each team’s spending this summer.

Chelsea has made five signings so far, summing up to €187m – Raheem Sterling €56.2m, Kalidou Koulibaly €38m, Carney Chukwuemeka €18m, Gabriel Slonina and Marc Cucurella €65.3m.

Barcelona as the second highest spender has welcome new five arrivals at the Spotify Camp Nou of which two were signed on a free transfer -Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie. Jules Kounde’s €50m, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha’s €58m -summed up to €153m.

Bayern Munich third on the list has splashed €138m on six new signings, one as a free agent Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax. Ryan Gravenberch €18.5m, Lovro Zvonarek €1.8m, Sadio Mane €32m, Matthijs de Ligt €67m and €20m for Mathys Tel.

Arsenal €132m – Matt Turner €6.4m, Fabio Vieira €35m, Gabriel Jesus €52m, Oleksandr Zinchenko €35m and Marquinhos.

West Ham United €124m – Nayef Aguerd €35m, Alphonse Areola €9.5m, Gianluca Scamacca €36m, Thilo Kehrer €12m, Maxwel Cornet, and Flynn Downes.

Manchester City as the sixth spenders has five new arrivals – Sergio Gomez €13m, Kalvin Phillips €48.8m, Erling Haaland €60m, Julian Alvarez and Stefan Ortega on a free transfer, summed up to €122m while covering their tracks of €159.4m departees.

Tottenham Hotspur €120m – Yves Bissouma €29.2m, Richarlison €58m, Djed Spence €14.7m, Iyenoma Udogie €18m, Clement Lenglet as a loanee, Josh Keeley, Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster as free agents.

A return to the Premier League for the first time in 24 years, Nottingham Forest has spent €119m on 15 new players with notable names like Taiwo Awoniyi for €20m, Neco Williams €20m, Emmanuel Dennis €14.8m Omar Richards and others.

€107m on five new players – French champions Paris Saint-German comes in the ninth position. Renato Sanches 15m, Vitinha €41.5m, Nuno Mendes €38m, Nordi Mukiele and Hugo Ekitike as a loanee.

Finalising the list is Leeds United with €106m on new arrivals – Luis Sinisterra €25m, Tyler Adams €14m, Darko Gyabi €5.8m, Rasmus Kristensen €10m, Brenden Aaronson €32.8m, Marc Roca €12m and Joel Robles.
