The majority leader of Parliament, Honorable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has reacted to Sarah Adwoa Sarfo’s letter to the president following the termination of her appointment as Gender Minister by the president.

In a phone interview on Okay FM this morning, the law maker made it clear that; Is Sarah Adwoa Sarfo now ready to work as an MP?. He added that where was Sarah Adwoa Sarfo when Parliament was calling on her to come to work.

Adwoa Sarfo has spoken. The beginning of this is that she said this situation will allow her to do her parliamentary duties with all her might. She abandoned her post and did no work at all. So if you say you are now coming to do your work as an MP, then why were you not coming to work all these while after the calls we made to reach you. This is what I don’t quite understand” he said.

The majority leader further revealed that the decision made by the privileges committee is set and ready. He revealed that Adwoa Sarfo’s fate has been decided by the committee and the committee wants Adwoa Sarfo’s seat to be declared vacant. He made it clear that parliament does not have to vote to determine another fate of Adwoa Sarfo when the privileges committee has already declared their stand.
