Asamoah Gyan has been told to move on and shouldn’t return the national team.
The Ghanaian footballer who has gone viral with his interview with BBC has hit back at critics.
Asamoah Gyan in an interview with the BBC said anything can happen as he can join the Black Stars at the World Cup and play for his nation.
According to Asamoah Gyan, Roger Milla in 1994 came back from retirement to play for Cameroon at the World Cup.
His interview with BBC has sparked reactions as some Ghanaians claim Asamoah Gyan can’t play for the country while others believe Ghana needs him in Qatar (venue for the 2022 World Cup).
Responding to criticisms, Asamoah Gyan clearly stated that he is the news and will make people keep taking.
“I’m the news and go make you keep talking,” he quoted a verse in Shatta Wale’s ‘On God’ song to jab critics.
However, controversial Ghanaian blogger, Albert Nat Hyde has said Asamoah Gyan should try and move on because the national team has moved on. He added that there’s no way for Gyan to come back to the Black Star.
“The hard truth is the Black Stars have moved on as far you’re concerned. Try and move on too. You ain’t coming back,” he replied Asamoah Gyan’s tweet.
