The State Of Assin Asano, A Community Of 800 People Which Is 3.5 Km From Assin Jakai In The C/R

Assin Asano is a smaller cocoa farming community of about eight hundred population which is 3.5km from Assin Jakai.

It is located just before Mmorho which is about a kilometer far and Aben 2km far from Assin Asano all in the Assin South District of the central region.

The two aforementioned cocoa farming communities, thus Mmorho and Aben have their way through Assin Asano before they access a market and health facility at Assin Jakai and Nyankumasi Ahenkro respectively sharing the same six years broken bridge.

The community has a basic school ranging from Kindergarten to Jhs.3 and two boreholes with one spoilt.

Most of the residents living in the area are Christians and Moslems having churches like New Apostolic Church, Old Apostolic Church, Methodist and a mosque.

Assin Asano is in the Assin South District of the Central Region, having a large river called ‘Anwinasu’ just before you enter the community as well as the other two and was previously having a bridge on the river bridging the communities but got broken in July 2018 has since not been repaired.

All the three communities market their farm produce at Nyankumasi Ahenkro and access a health facility at either Assin Jakai, Nyankumasi Ahenkro, Abura Kwadoegya or Abura Dunkwa.

Asano shares a common festival (Ahobo Yam Festival ) with Assin Bosomadwe being their traditional rulers.
