Genesis 30:22-23 And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb. And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:
Another word for reproach is shame. Anything that doesn’t make you happy that you don’t want in your life is a reproach.
Sin is the greatest reproach and it is the doorway to the others found in health, finances, career, marriage and other areas of life.
Shame entered into Adam’s life when he disobeyed God and was cast out together with Eve out of the garden of Eden. The reproach of sin, sicknesses, diseases and poverty was Adam’s experience from generation to generation.Â
Jesus was sent to the world as the last Adam and second man to take away the reproach from our lives. However this does not happen automatically. We must first believe that he bore our sin, guilt and shame by dying on the cross for us and was buried and raised again from the dead on third day.
When Jesus hung there on the cross, he was naked. Whatever makes you feel ashamed must not continue to be in your life. The life of Jesus ended in glory. Hallelujah!Â
It’s time to pray for God to take away every reproach from your life.Â
Heavenly Father thank you for sending Jesus to bear my shame on the cross so that I can share in his glory. I declare that financial embarrassment ends today. I shall not beg for money again. Money comes to me in abundance. I arrest recurrent health problems that make people turn to look at me . Lord take away barrenness: my womb is fruitful. My days of mourning are over. Lord roll away the reproach from my life that make people to shake their heads at me. Let any evil personality that is behind my pain receive judgment now in the name of Jesus. Amen
God bless you.Â
