Hopeson Adorye Claim Is True, As Opinion Poll Confirms His Assertion On Dankwa-Busia-Dombo Tradition

Two series of opinion polls conducted by Global Info Analytics in April and July 2022 which sampled 10,528 voters from 143 constituencies from all the 16 regions show that 58% of NPP sympathizers are Akans, followed by Ga-Adangbe, 9%, Mole-Dagbani, 6%, Ewes, 5%, Guans, 4% and the rest of the smaller tribes 16%.

The big question is, have the Ghanaian voters changed so much that ethnocentric politics is in the past?

Data from the poll also shows that approximately 15% of all voters say that ethnicity will be a factor in deciding who they intend to vote for as president in 2024. This will affect any candidate NPP or NDC field for the 2024 elections.

For the NDC, this has already been tested with Rawlings, Mills, and Mahama leading it, unlike the NPP, this will be unchartered waters in an election year that they are expected to struggle to galvanize their base to show up at the polls.

So, the question is, was Hopeson Adorye speaking from the evidence or a thin air?

Carefully study the date below and make your assertions, with the hot statement made by Hopeson Adorye on the Dankwa- Busia-Dombo tradition in the ruling New Patriotic Party and their mode in selecting presidential running candidates and running mates respectively.
