I Am Ready To Pay Ghc1Billion Annually If You Offer Me The Toll Booths Contract Award-Npp Activist.

The Ashanti Regional chairman of the Newspapers Vendors Association of the Npp, Mr Bismark Ayensu says he is ready to pay into government coffers, a significant amount of Ghc1.2 billion annually if the ‘toll booths’ contract award is given to him.

Speaking to the correspondent in an interview, the vendor said he can meet the target if government is ready to hand over the facilities to him.

His interview also seek to react to the government’s recent announcement that the state will soon entrust the toll booths collection into the care of competent private sector to manage.

Mr Ayensu alleged that the government also quoted a sum of Ghc70 million as an amount it had targeted to collect from the winners of the toll booths award annually.

According to the newspaper vendor, he though agreed to the government decision on the Ghc70 million annual income on the toll booths collections.

He also finds it appropriate to increase the amount by taking into accounts measures that he could put in place to meet his target.

The Npp stalwart insisted that the number of toll booths in the country can attract the amount he quoted, if a systemic management methods are enforced.

I am ready to support the government to fix the country through the efforts l could make in the toll booths collections, Ayensu assured.

He urged government to treat his message as a case of national importance and give him the toll booths contract and see the next results of his performance on whether he will disappoint the government or make a positive impact to help fix the country.
